Ray Chong Nee takes to the national stage as Othello after vowing to play the role with Bell Shakespeare in 2007. The powerful tale of manipulation, alienation and jealously is remade through an Austrasian lens, showing how the play can be hauntingly relevant on tragedy of ‘otherness’ after hundreds of years.
